Central Bible Leadership Institute 2015

Central Bible Leadership Institute offers a place for Salvation Army people engaged in mission to rest, enjoy fellowship, and experience growth.

Families with children and individual adults, young adults, and teens enjoy a wide range of activities led by a team of Salvation Army leaders and guests selected from throughout North America. The Program Services section of Territorial Headquarters plans age specific adult, young adult, teen, and children tracks for Bible study, leadership training, and worship. At CBLI there are also many opportunities for all campers regardless of age to share in meals, recreation, fellowship, worship, and fun.

What happens each day at CBLI?

Wonderland Camp and Conference Center becomes the setting for CBLI campers to receive personal and spiritual refreshment and an opportunity to strengthen their ability to serve in the Salvation Army. CBLI 2015 dates will be July 25 through August 2nd.

Throughout the afternoon campers will enjoy fellowship, recreation, and leisure time.  Each day CBLI draws to a close with evening programs featuring guests, performances, and presentations to inspire and challenge.  After evening programs teens and young adults regularly gather for additional events, often late into the night!

We are looking forward to our meeting with Jews for Jesus next week (Wednesday March 25th) and again are sending you an invitation to join us for this unique worship and fellowship opportunity. Below are some helpful things to keep in mind should you be able to join us:

1.    The missionaries name is Lizzy Cohen. She has asked that we prayer for her main focus of reaching out to young Jewish students at various college campuses in the greater Chicagoland area.

2.    We will have a spaghetti dinner prior to the service starting at 5:00 pm. We are asking for a $3 donation to World Services, however, if someone can’t pay they are more than welcome to eat regardless.

3.    The program will start at 6:00 pm and should only last about an hour.

4.    We will take an offering during the Christ in the Passover presentation and it will support Lizzy Cohen and the ministry of Jews for Jesus.

5. There will be books available for purchase after the service.

International Day of Prayer for Children

EVERY year The Salvation Army sets aside the last Sunday in March as the International Day of Prayer for Children. The date for this year’s day of prayer is Sunday 29 March, under the simple theme 'Pray continually' (1 Thessalonians 5:17 New International Version). Salvation Army corps (churches) and centers are encouraged to place a special emphasis on this day on praying for children all around the world.

To help with preparations for the 2015 day of prayer, discussion and information resources have been prepared by Major Michelle Woodhouse and Captain Teresa Everett (officers serving in the United Kingdom Territory with the Republic of Ireland) and a poster has been created at International Headquarters (IHQ) to ensure that all Salvationists and friends are aware of the occasion. All of the resources are available on the IHQ website, at sar.my/dopchildren2015.
